Glazbrook Shield

All Seaview High School students and staff members who are interested in participating in one of the upcoming staff vs students Glazbrook Shield series must nominate to be considered for selection.

The Glazbrook Shield is named after D. Glazbrook, an Australian politician who represented the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Brighton from 1979 to 1982 for the Liberal Party. In 1982 on 1 November, D. Glazbrook had the honour of officially opening the Seaview High School Gymnasium.

The Staff vs Student series launched in 2018. In it’s inaugural year the series consisted of 5 rounds, each round featuring a different sport including, Basketball, Volleyball, Netball, AFL and Touch Football. In 2019 an additional round was introduced, welcoming Cricket to the mix of sports. In 2022 we welcomed the Staff vs Students Relays, which take place on Sports Day.
