🌟Seaview Superstar - Sporting Achievement 🌟
Shout out to Year 12 student Oscar F on his outstanding achievement in hockey.
Following his strong performances at the Australian Under 18 National Championships in Perth, Oscar was selected in the Australian Under 18 Futures Squad. This selection recognised him as a promising pathways athlete, with aspirations towards the 2030 Commonwealth Games and 2032 Olympic Games.
Oscar proudly represented Australia in a four-match series against the Indian Under 18 National Team in Bhopal, India. The closely contested series ended in a draw overall, with each team recording one win, one loss and two draws.
Reflecting on the experience, Oscar said:
"I was grateful for the opportunity to represent my country. I learnt plenty, both on and off the field, about gameplay and the culture. The experience was so unique and something many Australians don’t see every day. At the end of it all what I remember most was the outstanding crowd and excited little kids asking for photos and playing gear, and I was swayed into handing over a hockey stick to an up-and-coming junior, by the name of Sushant." ... Through this project, students developed an appreciation for Mexican culture while applying their creativity and problem-solving skills to produce a collection of colourful and imaginative artworks.
Year 9 student Tess said, “As I create my sculpture it is important to make the patterns very vibrant and colourful, to show the cultural significance of the vibrant patterns which are historically used to display the endless imagination and heritage of these sculptures”. ... See MoreSee Less
