Congratulations to Year 9 student Anton S, who has been accepted into the Indigenous Australian Engineering School (IAES) at Flinders University.
The IAES is a four day program designed to inspire First Nations students from across Australia to explore the study and career opportunities available in engineering and technology.
Throughout the program, Anton will take part in hands-on engineering challenges, visit leading engineering organisations, and engage in a range of cultural and extracurricular activities.

πMs Jarmynβs Year 9 class took on the role of caterers during their Food Solutions class today, preparing party food items for fictitious customers.
As part of the task, students were required to plan their menus, considering factors such as age, dietary requirements, allergies, and individual food preferences to ensure their dishes met the needs of their clients.

π ICAS Competitions β Registrations Now Open.
We are excited to be participating in the 2026 ICAS Competitions during Term 3, providing students with the opportunity to challenge themselves, extend their learning and showcase their academic skills.
ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) is an independent, skills-based assessment program that recognises and rewards academic excellence.
Students can participate in the following competitions:
β Mathematics β Number and Arithmetic, Algebra and Patterns, Measures and Units, Geometry, Chance and Data.
π English β Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Language Conventions, Structure, Syntax and Voice.
βπΌ Writing β Students will complete either a narrative or persuasive writing task and be assessed across a range of writing criteria.
π¬ Science β Observing and Measuring, Investigating, Predicting and Concluding, Reasoning and Problem Solving.
The ICAS competitions are open to Year 7β11 students. Students who enjoy academic challenges and are looking for opportunities to extend themselves are encouraged to participate.
Families of Year 7β11 students should have recently received an EdSmart notification containing consent and payment information.
