Over 20 students got hands on at our Seaview Plus Environment Club today, building bird boxes that will soon be installed around our school grounds to help attract native birdlife. 🐦🔨

🗳 Our Year 8 HASS students headed to the polls today as part of a mock election, putting democracy into action.
Last term, students worked hard to develop political campaigns around the theme "Improving Seaview." Each Pastoral Care class selected the party they believed had the strongest vision, values and policies - considering not only what would benefit Year 8 students, but also what could realistically be achieved.
Throughout the week, students viewed each of the winning campaign videos before casting their votes today. Just like a real election, voting was compulsory and students used the preferential voting system to elect their preferred party.
The polling is now closed and votes will be counted before the winning party is announced tomorrow. Which party will win? 🤔

🍚 There was plenty happening in the kitchen this morning as our Year 9 Food Solutions students prepared ingredients and cooked fried rice. It was great to see students focussed and working so well together.
