2023 Mobile Phone Policy

The State Government has announced that mobile phones and equivalent devices will be banned in all SA public schools from next year.
This follows extensive consultation between the Education Department and stakeholder groups.
Electronic devices, including phones, smart watches and air pods will need to be left at home or locked away, for the duration of the school day.
All Seaview High School students will all receive a lockable, lined pouch to store their devices whilst at school.
Exemptions for medical reasons will need approval from the principal.
Further details about the process, including the updated electronic devices policy and how to apply for an exemption, will be shared with the community closer to the start of the 2023 year.
We are confident that as a school, with your support, the new guidelines will be accommodated with minimal fuss.
